    I just filled my freezer up with about £70 of food, then went and left the door slightly ajar.
    The freezer leaked all over the floor.
    I shut the door properly but the -18 display keeps flashing and the bottom of the freezer is frozen but the top half and ice maker is not freezing.
    The fridge seems to be working just fine.
    Can I turn just the freezer off to completely thaw it and re-start it, or is there something else can try

    Hi

    yes that is the best option but it will need 24Hrs with the freezer door left open whilst defrosting it.

    the food is wasted though

    Just checked again and everything seems to be ok now. Will post back if problem re-occurs.
