This machine is just over a year old, and gets quite heavy use in a care facility.
Problem is that it is only heating up slightly, regardless of whether it is on timed dry or sensor.
I have given it the once over and had the back off to de-fluff and check the element. All appears normal but still insufficient heat.
    Any ideas? – Nige

Give the filter a good scrub in the sink. Also check for fluff on the front fan blade due to poor filter maintenance. Run it with temp prob inside to check air temp. Should level off at 70 degrees (ish ) on high heat. If it continues to rise then it is an air flow problem and you will see the temp drop off and go way down then rise again and so on as the stats cut it off because it is over heating. The symptom you get is as if it is on low heat all the time.

I checked everything mentioned with no luck.
It turned out to be a burnt out relay on the fascia (main) board
    All is now well!
