    Replaced the door handle on this today.
    But now the machine will not start.
    When you press start the machine just beeps twice.
    The door is engaging properly. Is there a child lock on these dryers?
    Absolutely baffled by this. 😡

    No child lock, it’s gotta be a fault associated to the door lock. Did it work prior to handle break?

    Yes Quite bizarre really.
    I was fitting a replacement door seal on there Bosch washer and they just mentioned that the handle on the dryer was loose.
    The dryer was on. The guy just opened the door to show me. I swapped the handle straight away. 3 screws tightened later and I carried on with the washer.

    Did the door switch probe fall off in the process?

    I will let you know on Monday. Thankfully there nice patient customers who are in no rush. Not many of them about anymore!

    Hi, just wondered if you got to the bottom of this one?.
    We’ve had a customer ring in and hers is doing the same.

    Ask the customer to try and start the machine worth the door open. If she gets the same indication/beeps open as with the door closed them the lock has probably failed.
