I’ve a Bosch KGV39VW30G fridge freezer. It has an electronic control panel.
First I noticed the freezer was too warm (-5C) and a simple “switch off and on” wouldn’t get it to run.
The self-test in the handbook resulted in the “2” led flashing three times. Anyone know what this might mean?

I turned it off for 48 hours to completely defrost.
On turning back on, set to 4, it cooled until the freezer was -31C and fridge 1C. This seemed rather too cold!
I turned it off and on again, set to 6C, and it ran for 3 hours OK (fridge cooled to 4C) before switching off- and not restarting. The fridge reached +12 and freezer +2C.

I’ve read elsewhere about a defrost thermistor that can be shorted out, could this be a fix?

Some details of the control panel wiring- it has a 4 wire connector on the left hand side which look like they might be sensor wiring (the opposite end from the on-off switch) with these wire colours: brown blue brown blue; a second connector with brown red.

    Grateful for any pointers!

    Re: Bosch fridge freezer problems

No answers? This must be a tricky one! Or am I the first to post with this type of fridge?

Update: I’ve checked the thermistors work, there are 2 and the resistance decreases as the fridge, the freezer, warm up. One started at 16kohm cold (presumably freezer) and one at 10kohm cold (presumably fridge). Both reached about 9kohm on warming.
There’s also two wires, blue and red, connected to something else which is open circuit. Could this be a “defrost switch”?

The symptoms continue to be that the fridge gets too warm, 12C when set to 4C. The freezer is cooled and controlled only when the fridge is running (it says so in the manual) and is warming to -10C.

Please does anyone have access to service info for this model?
