Sorry got no model number for this yet but it’s a Bosch Classix washer about 6-7 years old with the typical Bosch motor.
Customer says it intermittently whips up into a spin too quickly without ramping up slowly and the machine shakes about. What should I be looking for on this machine? The tacho unit on these motors are integral and I’ve not had this problem before on a Bosch.

Any help before I go please?

    Thanks

Just do your usual routine as with any tacho problem :-

    1) check motor plug connections for broken or loose wires.
    2) remove and inspect motor especially tacho magnet
    3) put meter on tacho output terminals and spin armature checking voltage generation
    4) check motor plug connections from the PCB end
    5) can’t think of anything else…..hmmmmm?…nope!
