ParticipantHello,
Newbie here and wondered if anyone can help with the above code being displayed on the washer/dryer that is baffling me and a couple of repairers I have phoned.
My wife came to load the machine, switched it on, pressed the button to select the cycle to wash at the same time my 18month old pressed buttons and as such has now caused an error that I cannot find anything about.
When the machine is on, it’s stating a time, but you press any button and an “ERR” code flashes, try and swap, the same. No E10/E20 or codes I would/can find online and we are now unable to use the machine.
Have tried to switch on/off the machine and still the same. Have drained the machine, removed the to be washed clothes, checked the door.
I am at a loss, any help appreciated please.
Thanks in advance…

ERR is not an error code but it’s to indicate to the user they have made an error this usually come’s up if two button’s are pressed in at the same time so firstly check that no buttons are sticking in usually the one’s you never use. It will also appear if you try to select an option that you carn’t use on the cycle you’ve selected.

Thanks for your reply. I have checked all the buttons and nothing is stuck in or sticking which I find really strange as to it giving this error. I wondered if it could be a door mechanism doing some looking on these fourms?
It’s baffled me.

Nope it can only be what I’ve already said if it was the door you would get E40 I would suggest taking the fascia apart and cleaning every facet.

Thank you. It could be the button or contact under the fascia as you have described.
I have someone coming to look at on Tuesday as I have no idea how to remove. Appreciate your assistance, thanks.

Thank you for your help. We had someone look at the machine last night and the board behind the facia is fried. To replace the board is approx £88.00 and £133 all fitted.
Seems my little 18 month old lad pressed too many buttons whilst the machine was on!!! Grghhhhh.
Hopefully being fixed Friday. Appreciate your help and wanted to post the outcome if anyone has similar issues.

Doubt if your little on should be blamed for this, from experience I find the cause of the P.C.Bs frying is the appliances being left switched on all the time, if they are left powered on at wall switch & on/off button left in for long periods the door interlocks get too hot, go poop & take out the board.
