Any opinions on NEFF?

Although my fridge had new hinges thanks to the kind people on this forum, my other whitegoods seem to be all falling apart. Apart from the washing machine they are all just over 12 years old. Is this a result of ‘finite element analysis’? 😕

Anyhow, since the dishwasher caught fire last week and the Sharp combi micro/oven has just the ‘Start’ button and basic oven function left working, my wife thinks it is time to change both and the oven beneath.

She fancies both a Neff H7881n2 combi and a b1641n2 built in oven to match and a s4457n0 semi integrated dishwasher, all with stainless finish.

Are these a good long and short term choice or would I [we] be better off going more mainstream?

Is putting all ones eggs in one manufacturers basket a good idea? I suppose that depends if the manufacturer makes good machines and that spares will be available for the 20 years I expect these things to last?

Huw, you won’t go far wrong with Neff to be honest 😀

Have a look at the Bosch and Siemens versions as well as they are all the same product essentially just with different jackets on 😉

Ditto my colleagues thoughts on Neff also.

I should add however, I think some caution may be warranted on those fitted kitchen companies that supply “Free Neff Appliances”. As they represent the ‘bottom end’ of the market and often are actually ‘rebadged’ machines made by ‘other’ manufacturers. 😉

I got stainless steel Neff appliances (fridge, dishwasher and cooker) two years ago and no problems with any of them.

When we moved into our place (and for two years afterwards as we could not afford anything after moving in!) we had the old Neff appliances that had been there 20 years whislt it was rented out and they still worked fine. New ones are better though!

    Hi Huw

Neff are one of the few manufacturers who give a two year warranty parts and labour as standard. Another good reason to buy 😀
