I am tearing my hair out!
I cannot find a cooker to replace my cannon cooker which just connects to a 13 am socket.

I would like a main fan electric oven. The small oven and grill and the burners all gas. Also a lid. This is to replace my original one which plugs directly into a 13amp socket.Do any of the readers here have any suggestions please?

I have been told I need a 32 amp hard wire connestion for nearly all the cookers with the facility I want.
The problem is I have no 32 amp connection. The main fuse box is 20 feet away.
I have had all the house rewired which meant cutting a hole in the floor to crawl to the fuse box. This has now been expensively replaced and I do not want to break open the floor again.

    Hi

Yes you will need a 32A supply if you have two cavities.

The only other option is to have one cavity like this Smeg SUK61MX8 which as Smeg state in the spec only needs a 13A socket.

This model is fine if the space available is 60cm 😉

    HTH 🙂

    Dear Don,

Thanks for the suggestion. Cooker is my wifes domain! I think it will have to be an all gas cooker.
    Andrew.
