Hello
My Hotpoint Ultima dryer TCD980 gave a fault code last week related to the filter. We cleared the filter and the dryer worked for about a week. However, it has stopped working again and says clean filter but there is nothing to clean.Every time we press the start button, it trips out the power in the house. Does anyone know what’s going on??

Most likely a heater fault, power off if doing any testing of components.

How will I establish whether the problem is a heater fault! the first years warranty was up in Sept. Should I be addressing this with Hotpoint?
