KeymasterOur dishwasher, finished it usual cycle. But for some reason water was left in the bottom. When we went to put it on another cycle, to try and finish the cycle and drain the excess water, we noticed the green light remained permantely on, Usually, it flashes as a pre-selection.
Now if we attempt to put the dishwasher on (the program selection light no longer flashes) , it begins the cycle, but after a minute or so it stops and just makes a buzzing/humming sound, whilst also leaving water in the bottom.
Can anyone..help?

It sounds like the drain pump is blocked to me monty, or it has failed.
The light/not starting problem will almost certainly be caused by the fact that it can’t drain itself.
If you’re going to have a go yourself, please pull the plug :zap:
Alternatively, have a look at repairs@ and the directories for an engineer near you.

Delfont,
Maybe in your case the baseplate is flooded and the water inlet safety switch has tripped I would think 💡
If that is the case then the machine leaks from somewhere, usually the main wash pump or the door seal etc etc.
:plug: PULL THAT PLUG FIRST BEFORE LOOKING :zap:

Tip : – The side panels need removing to begin the process of elimination 😉
