My machine keeps stopping and displaying the “water tap closed” warning during the spin/rinse cycles. The stop/start button has to be pressed before the machine will finish the cycle. This happens repeatedly on every rinse cycle until the program finishes.

I took the advice of another post on this forum and replaced the water flow sensor but the fault remains. The water taps are open, the filters are clean, the valves operate correctly, flow rate is ok (not fantastically high though) and I can see the vanes in the water flow sensor spinning. Can anyone please shed any light on where the problem may lie or what tests I can do to determine the fault? Thanks BB

Might be your low water pressure. Remove the flow restrictor in the inlet valve (directly behind the fine filter) and see if that helps.

Sorry for the delay in reading your post but I have been away on hols. Many thanks for the tip,I will try this out. One thing that I have noticed is that the problem does not occur when the 30degree wash cycle is chosen. I hope it isn’t the controller module.

Wouldn’t be a low insulation somewhere? Maybe wash heater?

Thanks, I will trying running an insulation test to see if anything is low. It’s a pretty old machine so things could be breaking down.
