Hi all I’m new to the forum and interested in some of the questions asked here. I have worked in the electrical trade for some years so I’m no stranger to electricity and circuit boards, my question is I have just moved a Hoover Ultima wmd960p from one house to another and when it was plumbed back in it comes up Fault code F09 after checking it says EPROM needs resetting is it a case of checking the board is in its slot properly or doe’s it need some secret code pressed on the buttons to reset it as some other electrical products do, also why should it do this after moving it. Any help will be appreciated. Regards Kindwarf.

F09 is a motor problem that may have blown the triac controlling the motor on the main circuit board. Transporting a machine, especially by laying it on its side without the transit bolts fitted or subjecting it to damp and condensation during these cold spells can be the reason it went tits up! 🙁

It’s that so? In that case the guy seriously needs to visit Specsavers as F09 on a Hotpoint has an all the more frightening consequence far beyond anything a Hoover can spew out….! 👿

Can any one elaborate on the last post is it knackered or can it be mended what does it entail. Cheers

F09 on a HOTPOINT is usually an EEPROM error on the main control board. So the board could well be knackered. It spells trouble whatever way you look at it. 🙁
