ParticipantWhen I put the WM into test mode and before I press the start button again to make all the lights flash ready for testing, the WASH and SPIN/END lights flash steadily.
Is this indicating that there is a problem with the wash and spin, the machine will not wash. I sent off for a used PCB board off ebay and fitted it but still doent work, I assume the board is again faulty as there was no guarantee it would work only that they said it was checked by an engineer. what do you all think 🙁November 17, 2013 at 5:03 pm #404662spanishwhite

Hello there, I know it’s quite old but I have the same problem as you with your Beko WM5100W – various lights on but nothing happening. Did you manage to fix it?
Any help gratefully appreciated.

Checking the motor carbon brushes should be your first move, after removing the mains plug of course.

They all say that!! Actually it is impossible to check a used pcboard other than by eye.
As previous comment it is usually the motor brushes worn out or more than likely jammed in their holders.February 1, 2016 at 8:48 am #404666iadom

Checking a pcb board ‘by eye’ will only reveal obviously blown components but will not reveal any internal component failure, especially eeprom faults.
It is not ‘impossible to check a used pcb’, EMW for one do it all the time.

1)Ha Ha very original. Totalshambles is an inverted p*ss take on the appliance trade which as we all know is not difficult to do and so your right ” Totalrubbish” kinda sums it up.
2) which is what I alluded to if you reread instead of jumping on your high horse.
3) I think where this person got the pcb was from a parts recycle company off E-bay ( where any disaster is conceivable ) in other words a breakers, the same place where I bought a second hand pcb as tested by an engineer- my pcb was faulty but at least it was faulty in a different way to the original which kind of proved I was on the right tracks though somewhat confusingly. I wasn`t really surprised because they`re just basically taken off scrappers and visually checked over then sold on and in this context I`m spot on. As for EMW never used them so no comment but I have used QER in Cumbria with all the fancy test equipment, which a breakers wouldn`t have and even you would have to agree on that point.I concede I have a pretty weak point on this occasion so I think your right, which is rare, and I`m wrong or maybe I`m right afterall and being too hard on myself, don`t know, don`t really give a monkies to be honest but my Electrolux pcboard went backwards and forwards to Cumbria 3 times until they managed to finally sort out the poxy thing and fair play to them for having the patience because I was losing mine so it makes me wonder whether it`s all a little bit hit and miss or putting it another way: it`s a bit like a wee wee in a force 8 gale i.e. your just never 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} know how things are going to turn out! Does it make you wonder that too oh wise one? -
