Hi all. I have a 16month old fridge freezer. The compressor wouldnt run, there is voltage from the compressor up to the motherboard, but doesnt send a vtage back to the klixon on the compressor, even though the thermostat is ‘made’. I got a new motherboard and guess what it made no dufference. You can sometimes hear the compressor start then stop again. Ive linked out the motherboard to keep the fridge going but obviously having to turn it off at regular intervals. I stripped the freezer down, and exposed the defrost heaters, and the temp probe, and a thermal insurance lead(as its called on the beko website) the unit ran for a while after this. But its stopped again now. This is slightly annoying me now. Any ideas folks? Regards oliver

Oliver, perhaps it’s time to ask an Engineer to look at it, to be honest when I see posts from someone who thinks there is a motherboard in a refrigeration product you can tell that perhaps their knowledge of such items is limited.
If compressor is stopping after a few seconds it will most likely require a compressor replacement. This is something that can only be done by an engineer with the correct knowledge & equipment.
