This machine was dead upon arrival and I traced the fault to a small 3.15a fuse situated in the pcb on top of the cabinet. I only had an 8a fuse to go in it’s place and thought it would work fine BUT when switched on it blew up, literally with fire coming from the heat sink area of the board.
Is this because I put the wrong fuse in or has it got some more major error in the pcb? Something blew the fuse I’m guessing but I can’t tell what before the burn out as it all appeared fine but now it’s all burnt!! Will changing the pcb fix it is what I’m asking, appliance is 8yrs old.
Any help would be good as don’t want to buy an expensive part only to have it blow up as well :0(
