Hi, this machine was working fine yesterday. Went to put a load of washing on today and none of the lights will come on except the Light saying I can open the door. I push the start button and nothing happens, no lights come at all. Anybody got any ideas what could be going on?

WMA1512S is the full model number we seek, thanks. Little clues come from what you tell us about the fault unfortunately. Other than suggest to check the power supply socket first and if that checks out OK then it’s time to look inside.

Usually when I turn on the machine the panel lights up, but only the light saying I can open the door comes on. This would suggest to me that there is power there, but when I push the start button, nothing happens.

That’s exactly what you said earlier and, rather than repeating what I said earlier, refer you back to what I suggested you do next. 😉

Which was to look inside and frankly I don’t have a clue where to start, which was why I came here for help.

You will need to check the door lock, the motor and the timer. Those 3 could be the reason why it has failed. To do this it will need unplugging and then the back panel and top panel removed for access. We have to assume you have sufficient electro-mechanical knowledge and with the right tools and test equipment in order to do this.
