ParticipantHad a call to one of these & thought easy peasy, bring a new interlock & bobs your uncle, not so, replaced the door interlock & after a min’ or two door locked light goes out you press start button comes on again & so on, checked cable back to board & no bad connections or no visible dry joints on board, any ideas? Is the board duff?

The first thing the machine should do (on any prog setting) is pump, does it I wonder?

Yeah Martin the pump is working. I’ve checked that, it will fill, i’ve a plug in ampmeter & i can also see that the heater works, motor turns & spins when you turn to spin etc!

😕 Dunno Seamy to be honest on this one 😕
I guess you have checked that the sump trap/air chamber are clear? Beyond that I guess you have to suspect the Prog/Module… Sorry but I do not have tech info on this model 🙁
Maybe Brian can help us out here though 💡

Hi Seamy,
It is the board at fault if you have tried the interlock. You said you have inspected the board for dry joints and burning. Replace both the interlock and the board and this will cure.Sparkyp

It’s a classic fault on these. The interlock shorts and damages the board (not always visible damage). You need a new interlock and board. Send it to us and we will test/repair same-day for £34.90+vat inc return post. Tony http://www.emwelec.co.uk

Just to wrap this up guys, i fitted a new control module & this cured the problem, i found it a bit tricky to get the board set up & commisioned, but its up & running ok now,
thanks for your advice!

Participantive had this fault many time, and as suggested replaced pcb +door int, but watch out for faulty doorseal > small hole near door/int possition>ineedless to say i had to replace 2x iterlocks + 3pcbs, ouch…..

Deep joy!
Now I have come across a Door Lock Light flashing problem as well 🙁 In my case it’s a WMA34P, I’ve replaced the Interlock (checked the door seal 😉 ) and taken the Module off and given it a good inspection (It looks fine, no blown tracks nor nowt).
Tonys (EMW) comments earlier nevertheless lead me to conclude that the Module must be at fault so I have quoted for a replacement PLUS a new Interlock for good measure.
The exact symtoms are that having pressed the start button, it thinks about it for a few secs, then the Door Lock light flashes. Sometimes if you press and hold the start button for a minute or so it will burst into life, then stop moments later!!!!!!!!!
