    Hi guys

Had my van broken into and toolbox stolen last night 👿

Just thought I would pass this info onto you from the Police.

If you have any power tools, make a note of the serial number. If your tools get stolen the Police can then trace them if found and return them to you.

That’s tough folley, sorry to hear. 🙁

For nowt much than 30bob buy a UV Pen and mark all your valuables with your Postcode. If you report a theft to the old bill they will give you a crime number. Any recovered goods that have a UV Postcode on them will then easily be returned by them as it is logged on their system nationwide. Noting the ‘serial number’ is far less affective in it being returned.

Also if you buy stuff on eBay and find it has a UV Postcode mark on it then chances are it’s been nicked. Give old bill a call if you do! (UV banknote lights are cheap to buy and reveal all this sort of stuff, even smart water)

    Re: Tool theft

Sympathise, I foolishly left a tool case in the back of a van in a decent hotel car park some years ago. This was my everyday kit. My what I call decent kit with all the gear we need but not on everyjob, Id taken off. But three years later there are still the odd item I suddenly realise I need. Checked the cashconverters and ebay. But nothing. Would have gone for a few quid in a pub somewhere.
