Just received this e-mail from a customer. 🙂

Can you help re our 14/15 year old Bosch Aquatech dishwasher. Initially, it would ‘count’ up and down in the ‘delay washing’ display, and nothing would happen, and no response to pressing of buttons. We left it for a few days thinking it was broken, then by chance it began to work. Currently the pattern appears to be that it will do several things at different time periods –

repeatedly count up to 24 on the delay button, with no response from any button pressing
begin to wash, then stick at 1 minute, and when the door is opened and closed again, returns to 20/30 mins left
sticks at 99 mins when eco wash button pressed in, and sticks at this point in the wash cycle
using quick wash, commences at 22 mins, then after a countdown to about 20 mins, goes up to 40 min left.

At times I can ‘trick’ it to work, by not using it for 2-3 days, and it will wash a couple of loads, and then we are back to of of the above scenarios. I have ensured that the area around the recess of the ‘buttons’ on the machine are clean, and this has helped at times.

No model number as yet, what do you think, gunged up?

    Jim.

Those with minutes countdown timers do anyway.

cannot see anything in that mail to suspect the turbidity sensor, infact I have never come across one as being faulty and do a heck of a lot of these over the years. sounds like the buttons stuck, bet the kettle and coffee jar are on the worktop above it. then whip the side of and replace the float and clean the hose from there into the sump and it will work like new.
