i have a hoover condenser dryer coming in to the workshop for repair.
the repair is only a capacitor but i cant see a way of getting into the unit without striping all the front ducting, and have had bad experiences with this in the past with these leaking.

Can anyone give me any advice in the best way to tackle this or if there is a trick I’m missing.

    any help would be fantastic

Yep, front panel off then away with the front drum support etc etc. Why bring it in the workshop, we do these jobs in the customers house. 😉

They are a nightmare DDA in all areas. Leaks are commonplace for darn sure and I would suggest fixing the capacitor on site as your customer will always expect a ‘workshop repair’ to be perfect. Using the pretense, “it never leaked until you touched it!” They have visions of men in white coats and stethoscopes and oscilloscopes resurrecting their machine back into a brand new state on its return from “the workshop” having completed 24/48hr exhaustive testing and fixing and all that for 30 quid and not a penny more!!!!
