ParticipantHi folks
Been to this today for an FH fault which according to the fault codes is a fill problem.
Machine fills with water then comes up with FH. Checked pressure switch, pressure system for blockages and water valve working ok. Looks like there is some sort of flow valve fitted between the inlet valve and the dispenser so disconnected that and still comes up with the same fault but must be switching off via the pressure switch so that would appear to be ok.
Looks like it might be a flow valve problem although I got continuity when I tested the valve. Presumably these machines switch off via the flow valve sensor before the pressure switch and so because it’s switching off the water flow with the pressure switch instead its coming up with FH?
Not sure how these work but that would seem logical – but who knows these days :/.
Questions – has anyone had a fault with these and giving the same symptoms or is it more likely to be the PCB not sensing the flow valve results?
Is there anyway of testing the flow valve other than continuity?
Is there anything I may have missed?
Any help in this matter is appreciated as flow valve is special order and non returnable :(.
If its any help the machine filled ok the first time I tested it was only on subsequent tests it came up with the fault and did so every time I tried it after. Customer said it would fill and then work for a few mins before FH fault when she tried to use it?
Thanks
Mick

Hi folks – just thought I would finish this thread off.
Thanks for all the info Colin, Went back armed with all that but to no avail. Managed to get it working on a low fill wash but as soon as it went to a second level it came up with FH.
Tested resistance of flow meter which looked like a short circuit as it was reading zero on my meter. Also managed to test back at the module after disconnecting and got the same so wiring continuity is ok. Problem is I was not sure what the resistance should have been as there was no mention of it in the info. Short circuit seemed a bit suspect though and the possibility it may have taken something in the module?
Still suspected the flow meter but only way to prove was to change it but customer wouldn’t go to the expense if I couldn’t guarantee that that was just the problem. As we all know these days “it’s never over till the fat lady sings” so it was the case of “another one bites the dust”,
Thanks for all the help Colin.

Update! Went and fitted hot and cold valves, so far seems to have fixed the FH. Fault
