Hi just been out to a German import Siemens wxls1240 which has suddenly stopped taking in water, after a few seconds a warning come up in German apparently says water tap off, I can here the valve humming and let’s a trickle of water in before failing the aqua stop hose has an electrical connection, not come across this before could it just be hose assembly Or is there any thing else to check? Have checked pump and filter and no earth issues.

Water in base ? Check door boot for leaks and also if it’s been moved recently check to make sure the base panel/flood float hasn’t been damaged.

If you can get to the solenoid on the valve and give it a few firm taps with a screwdriver handle or whatever it sometimes starts to flow properly.
Wont cure it of course but it proves if the piston is sticking inside or not, fairly common issue on these valves I’ve found.
