ParticipantWent to this washer dryer due to the detergent water flooding from the detergent dispenser.
No blockages in the dispenser to tub hose,
No for build up or crud in dispenser.
Vent between condenser and dispenser, not blocked or kinked
Checked both ports for above vent
Breather on top of condenser clear
Checked machine is level
Condenser is clean.Found if i take small vent off dispenser water bubbles out of the small vent port. The water pressure is incredibly high and I think is causing the problem. A combi boiler is used so hot and cold pressure is excessive. 😯
Both inlet valves have restrictors fitted.
I have turned down the water pressure to solve the problem but wondered if there are any restrictors available that fit behind the small internal filter to reduce the volume of water further than the original Hotpoint ones ❓

Twoten,
Change the cold valve!
Sounds to me, although there may be a high water pressure situation, that the restrictors within that valve are not doing their job. The clue for me here being the fact that you mentioned the water bubbling out of the dryer ‘water break’ area (“small vent port”). It could be that in the past a pattern valve was fitted? These valves often have got the restrictors in the wrong place 😉
Fit a genuine Hotpoint replacement valve, turn the stop cock up full blast, then see what happens. It should work just fine….fingers crossed eh ❓

I have replaced triple valve with pattern, even correct restictors and ended up getting the original, due to water coming out of the vent Port. Never bought pattern again.

Most cold vavles have a restrictor on the inlet side…if you pull out the filter you should see a small rubber washer fitted to a central stem. I don’t know if you can get different sizes but check there is one fitted.
Hot valves don’t generally have then in…you could carefully put one in I suppose but usually when the hot is at a really high pressure I just fit a cold valve…just make sure to mark the back panel of the machine to show which valve is which! 😉
Hope that helpsClive

The customer didn’t think the cold valve had been changed in the past and both valves have the restrictors fitted on the inlet side.
I will try replacing the cold valve using a genuine part anyway.
Thanks for the advice,
Keith.
