    Hi
I have a BOSCH VWD24520GB/01 combined Washing Machine and Dryer.

The washing and spinning cycle work perfectly. Water flows freely and no kinks in inlet hose.

When attempting to use the Drying function the cycle stops after one minute with a fault code of F17. According to the handbook F17 indicates that the water input is at fault.

I’m not a washing machine engineer but my logic tells me it is not the water input but I’m of the opinion that the controller is at fault. I’m not saying fault F17 is not for limited water input but because the machine has a drying option Bosch have not thought though the firmware in the controller proficiently (bug in software).

I’m looking for guidance here before I go the route of replacing valves etcetera piece meal.

If replacing the valve at the same time as replacing the Controller would be more logical I’m prepared purchase both when I order whatever.

I’m not in a hurry to put this right now but after Christmas I will.

Do you have any ideas please?
    Many thanks for your help
    Ken

    Hi Martin and Andy

As you both recommended I only replaced the 3 way valve and all is now working correctly. I only did it yesterday but it looks like the problem is fixed.

Many thanks to both of you once again.

    Ken
