I have a 10 year old WFO 2860 – which apart from failing to heat the water is a great machine. I replaced the element a year or so back. Unfortunately it only worked for a week and then stopped heating water again.

To overcome the issue we run all our cycles at 60 degrees which in effect washes at around 40 degrees, pulling from the hot domestic supply.

The time is long since past to investigate further and fix it.

I read a couple of posts on here that indicated that blowing elements could also damage the electrics – I assume on this machine that means a new circuit board is the next step?? – also I wondered considering the 2kw load – if there was actually a relay somewhere that might need replacing also??

    Thanks in advance.

    check heater relay on board

could be a blown track or bad solder joint
