    Hi all,

I bought a Neff U1744SOGB 01 the other day that was blowing the RCD.

I was initially thinking fan oven element, but having a closer look, I’m not so sure.

The fault arose when the seller tried to change a bulb and it tripped the rcd.

Basically, the fan never turns. It’s free to, but isnt getting a voltage. The element heats up but at a certain point it appears it trips the RCD. The oven lights only light up when grill and fan selected (they dont light when fan oven on or if only light selected).

I’ve had a look at the circuit boards and theres no evidence of any damage that I’d think would be caused by a short.

Just hoping someone can tell me yes, I’d try the element first, or no, it’s more likely to be the circuit board.

Any wiring diagrams appreciated as well.

    Thanks in advance.

Make sure you properly isolate and kill the power then disconnect the lamp holder and secure the terminals properly then reinstate the power and try for functionality. If everything then works happy days you’ve isolated the problem to the lamp holder. I have had this before where the lamp holder was the problem.

No joy I’m afraid, just the same.
