Hi,
I have a Siemens Siwamat XS 440. I bought it used a couple of years back so have no idea how old it is, neither did a seller tell me. I phoned one up today who was also selling the same kind.
I put the washing on at 90 degrees programme, and it threw the bathroom fuse out. I put the fuse back, and the washing machine had stopped. It only did click-zzzz-click every short while. Disconnected it from the socket, took out the washing, drained the water. Tried again. It starts the cycle – takes in a few litres of water – and then when the drum should start, it goes to the click-zzzz-click frenzy. And nothing.
The repairs said they have queues until mid January. I’m wondering if it either is worth repairing at all (it might be a very old machine?) and perhaps it’s something that can be very cost efficiently fixed. Does anyone has any idea, what the mistake might be and if it’s major or not?
Thanks!
