as a landlord i get through many white goods…..
too many in fact.
most recently the plastic catch that opens the indesit wd13 washing machine snapped, leaving the tenants washing trapped inside.
i tried to lever it open to no avail. i tried allsorts and coldn’t shift it. does anone know a way to release one of these items?
and where i can get a cheap replacement for the door lock mechanism or plastic catch.

sorry forgot to mention that if you have a white westinghouse dishwasher then the extended warranty is next to useless, never has the organisation handling it “appliance express” or the fitters fixing stuff – so called “expert” services been less well named.
i can only think they were named ironically. over several months, two call outs one set of charges, one bungled diagnosis and one bungled repair later i still have no dishwasher.
it is apparent to me that it is far better to throw this item away and face the expense of a new one than get the keystone cops of white goods repair involved again.

sorry i’m away from the flat with the washerdryer on reflection it may be a wd126 bought 18 months ago. i remember the 1200 spin speed and the stupid preset amounts of time for drying ie 30mins or an hour, that kind of thing, which always resulted in my clothes being either wet, or overdry…
