    Hi All,
Hoping someone can help me out here.

My washing machine recently started playing up. The machine wont start. The green end light would flash 4x and I read in the manual this means the door is not closed properly. I checked the door several times then concluded that possibly the interlock has gone. So I have changed this but still having the same problem, what a waste of £20 for new interlock.

Can anyone suggest what else might be wrong? Like I explained, the machine wont start but there is power going to the machine. I press start, the green washing light comes on then afer a moment goes to the End of wash light which flashes 4x..

I’ve googled and cant find any other solutions.

    Many thanks in advance

    Its a Zanussi/Electrolux ZWF1221W machine

The door interlocks are notorious for blowing the main power board. Take it out and look for burn marks on the surface components. 🙁

    Hi Martin,

Thanks! That was one of the first things I looked for in case a fuse had blown or something.. The 3 pins just looked dusty, nothing suggesting a blow out or anything. As my machine is quit eold, I’ve had it about 5 or 6 years, I replaced the interlock anyway just incase its time was up but the new one is giving me the same problems.

    Hi

the power board Martin said to look at is the main PCB in the top of the machine with all the electronic components on. Not the 13 amp plug.
