Leaking Dishwasher, now not working at all?

    Thank you in advance for taking that time to read though my post. 😀


    I have a Hotpoint DWF 31 dishwasher, recently purchased from gumtree advertised as fully working… However once I installed it I found it leaked dirty water somewhere from the bottom.

    I ended up turning the dishwasher upside down to see if I could get into the base of the machine. I removed some plastic trim from under the door and a piece of steel that was under that. That was as far as I got, I left it upside down over Christmas.

    Since I have put it upright and tried running it but it gets stuck on the first minute of the cycle makes a noise but no water enters the machine. It may just be me but I think I smell burning as well…

    Turning it upside down is a bad idea at the best of times. If it had water in the base then you may well have already rendered it BER. One for the tip methinks.:(
