John Lewis JLTDC01 Low Energy Condenser SensorTumble Dryer

Had this since 2008 and just before xmas noticed it was spinning for the whole cycle but not getting warm.

The pipe at the back isnt blocked (can blow down it)
At the front the filters look clean enough (not blocked anyway) ; we have generally been pretty good about filters.

Have taken off the back and side panel but my eyes glazed over at the wires and the like.

I have a multimeter but not never really did much apart from put some batteries in it.

I did open the condensor viewing panel (looks clean enough)

    have attached some photos ..

Now i did see this on ebay recently same model going for spares repair and he said

“I have here a faulty John Lewis TDC01(aka Zanussi, electrolux) condenser heat pump tumble dryer. This dryer is only 2 years old and cosmetically its in perfect condition. This is a heat pump dryer and needs re-gassing, I don’t have the equipment to do this. Its a straight forward job for somebody with the correct equipment and when running it will make a very very efficient dryer. “

Any advice for me tomorrow when back in the garage ?

    Cheers

    Yes, bring it indoors!

They will not operate in ambient temperatures under 10 deg C
