Hi all – found myself here after Googling myself round in circles! I hope you can offer me some advice, it would be much appreciated.
As of yesterday my dishwasher stopped heating the water. It sounds ok, fills up, goes through the wash cycle and drains fine. On completion I’m getting the green power light flashing rapidly and the number 8 displayed in the lcd panel. Now I have googled this and have a found lots of error number codes all prefixed with the letter “A”, but nothing suggesting my single digit code.
Running through my mind is the obvious…… heating element? thermostat? PCB?
My dishwasher is approx 4 years old and is covered by a 5 year parts warranty although it will cost £110 for an engineer to fix. I am a practical person, have fixed my washing machine and tumble dryer (not having much luck recently!) so would rather find out exactly what is wrong and price the parts myself before giving over a hundred quid for a £15 part.
Your thoughts would be a big help 8)
