    Had an e3 code resulting in faulty thermostat switch. Now replaced with a new one and e4 code showing. Have tipped it up, mopped it out, turned it on and off. Still showing e4. Any tips most welcome please.

    Hi

    If you put in an extra litre of water into it you will find it will go through the program without throwing up the error code if the thermal cut outs have been replaced and are working correctly. For some reason they fail. by replacing the pressure switch whilst testing them I got Gorenje to replace the pressure switches with a modified one which cured the problem.

    The way to check is to look at the tube on the rear of the appliance and watch the flow of water going up,If it hasn’t got enough water it will not fully flow constantly upwards. By adding the water the water flow will flow to the top thus operating the in line heater switch.

    If t switch isn’t operated correctly with enough water then it will throw a E4 error.
