    Hi there

    My Hotpoint WD420 has flashing lights 1+2+4, which apparently is: dryer ntc or fan motor error according to the washing machine fault codes.

    Maybe i don’t understand the terminology but i find this odd as we never use the dryer. The washing cycle is not finishing and the clothes are heavy with water.

    Could anybody advise me on what i should do? Is this something that i could fix myself or am i best to call an engineer?

    The electronics interrogate all the systems including the dryer. Whether you use the dryer or not it throws a fit and spouts out the error code. It won’t play ball or wash for that matter until it’s sorted. Ain’t technology wonderful? 😀
