    I have a Bosch Integrated under counter frost free fridge, just over 3 years old.

    Model :ENR KUR15A50GB/02
    FD9110

    Last week in the morning I opened the fridge and noticed when I put my hand in that the inside “ceiling” of the fridge, (near the lamp) was very warm – almost hot to the touch and as a result all the food on the top shelf had warmed up to room temperature.
    However the back panel of the fridge was still cold and the rest of the fridge was also cold.

    We threw away the food on the top shelf and rang for a repair man but in the meantime it is now all cold again so I cancelled the repair.

    The repair guy said over the phone he thought maybe the insulation was cracked or a compressor fault (so probably needing a new fridge) but I am not sure as the fridge is quite new and the actual cooling plate was always cooling it seemed to be something in the roof of the fridge which was overheating.

    – Maybe a short circuit? -but its fine now and the inside roof of the fridge is cold to the touch again.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Press the light switch… does it go out?

    Yes, the light switch works fine.
    But I don’t think its the light it was the flat part of the “ceiling” inside the fridge itself which was warm, almost hot to the touch.

    I found out what the problem was…
    the door wasn’t quite shutting properly. which meant something (I don’t know what) wasn’t shutting off and the inside roof of the fridge was so hot it almost burnt my hand but the light etc was still working correctly when I opened it in the morning. so the top of the fridge was hot but the backing cooling plate was still ice cold and the light turned off and on correctly when I opened the door.

    I think the door was just sticking just slightly so it wasn’t closing correctly but it was closing enough to turn the light off (possibly)
