    My JLWM’s 1603: 1600 spin) selection knob broke. I have repaired it and now the knob turns fine but, the LCD keeps displaying ‘selection error’ and it won’t work. It does not matter what programme I put it on, it just keeps getting ‘selection error’ and the machine won’t work.

    Can anyone help please?

    Replace the Selection Switch assembly. These things cannot be repaired, but only replaced.

    Thanks Martin. Is that the same thing as the selection knob?

    Really sorry Martin. I just need to be clear. What cracked was the plastic programme selection knob. I repaired it with glue. It now turns fine and goes to every programme. Even if I take the knob off and manually turn the dial behind the knob, it still says selection error. Buying just the plastic seletion knob should hopefully fix the problem?

    There are 2 versions of selector switch so to be sure of the right one please tell me what the full PNc number of your machine is?

    The part number is 1251159008 but it appears to have been discontinued. 🙁
