I have been to see a lg were the motor tries to go then it seems to jam and vibrate. from the threads I have read here it seems that you all point to the hall sensor. what is the hall sensor what dose it do and where is it?

hall sensor is part of the direct drive motor – you need to remove direct drive of to access it .. its just clips on , in my experience this fault can be direct drive motor itself – comes with hall sensor if you order it , fault can also be down to pcb .
if you take the hall sensor off there will be an lg part number on it ,
there not to expensive so maybe worth a tryjust checked connect their about £10
