    Hi All,

I have a Hoover fridge freezer (HNMF 2805A). The fridge and freezer contents have defrosted.

When the thermostat is set to “SUPER” the two lights (yellow and green) on the front of it flash constantly.

But when I turn the thermostat down to 4, for example, only the green light continues to flash, then the motor starts for a few seconds and stops, and then the green light remains on (without flashing), but the fridge/freezer does not get cold.

The user manual says: “If the yellow light flashes on and off: Contact your local Electricity Company or service dealer”.

I have tried switching it off then on again but nothing changes.

Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

    Many thanks,

    Frank Burns

    Hi Frank,

The tech on this is a bit confusing.

It sounds like you have a faulty foamed in fridge thermistor but, I can’t be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain on it from the technical documents.

It should be this one if you need it:

To be fair, it’s not that expensive to give it a go but it does mean digging the old one out.
