as the title. the DD motor judders rather than spins freely. tried the stator sensor (the £16 part) but no sucess. also if its the stator, is this covered by the 10yr motor warranty?

these motors are a variable frequency 3 phase unit

if you lose 1 phase you get the effect you are reporting.

in my opinion its either stator or pcb

sorry for late reply. if its the pcb then obvs not warranty job, if one of the staor coils have gone down then ovbs its under 10yr guarantee, right?

so other than general checks such as continuity, earth leakage is there any other tests that can be performed on the staor, prior to paying LG’s labour callout to only be told that the machine needs a new pcb…

I ask this because we went out to the “missus’s” machine (on the same day of the call that it wasnt working, i add), pikey husband got stroppy because we couldnt fix it there and then (with the stator sensor) and bought her new bosch next day, telling us on the monday not to bother coming backbecause they had ordered a new one. when we asked for the callout fee we were told he wouldnt pay the charge but we could have the old lg if we picked it up before new machine arrived. obvs we had a £16 part sitting on it already so we grabbed it, hence wanting some tech advice on best way to sort it so we arent left out of pocket too badly
