The above dishwasher will fill but circ pump does not run. It then aborts and drains after a short period with beeping but no flashing lights.
Should there not be a fault code for no circ pump ?

The wash pump motor fitted to this is the ‘Askoll on steroids’ asynchronous type. They stop and jam if the bearings wear; usually the motor makes a different sound before it fails – common problem. No fault code for wash pump failure AFAIK.

Watch out though, I’ve done a couple of motor changes that have then had the heater unit fail very soon afterwards; or heater unit changes that have had a failing motor…..chicken and egg syndrome. If you change both it’ll be fine; but at least warn the customer of the possibility of the other part failing as it probably will.

    Hope that helps!!

    Steve.

Thanks Steve, I recall having a problem after changing a heater on one of these. Motor should have been changed also serial no dependant apparently, so I take what you say on board.
