Participanthi trying to fix a Bosch clasixx 6 model wae28363gb
It originally had f18 pump error. I checked the pump and that was water damaged and destroyed.
I have now removed pump and housing and replaced checkin all blockages removed. Found a 2 euro coin in there. Now the water is getting into the pump area however the pump now is not getting power and the machines still coming up with f18 fault. Where to go next please is there an oboard fuse somewhere that needs replacing the cable goes upwards into the machine and im unsure where to check next. Would be grateful for some helpFebruary 1, 2014 at 7:24 am #408772Jasonoc

Destroyed? By that do you mean that the water damage had penetrated the pump’s electrics? If so it could have blown the main PCB, so you will need to access the control panel and check that out. (Do take photos of each wire connection before removing) 😉

Hi, yes took photos of pcb wiring layout before removing. Now looking at the pcd a few of the components are damaged. Guess i will need to replace the main pcb also. Any ideas on the cheapest place to get guaranteed replacment? ideas of price? heres a pic of the pcb

Yes I know. 🙁
Whenever the main PCB goes then it’s usually uneconomic to repair.
I’m curious though, how did the pump terminals get wet……?

Hi, this machines a bit of a drama. A work collegue purchased it from a dodgy trader who sold it to her as working. I offered to repair it free as a favour by replacing the pump which i had seen was faulty and wet (the pump hadent even been correctly inserted in the pump housing!). Trading standards refused to help her so i bought the pump and fitted it. Tehn i found no power getting to the pump after replacing. Now this. I wished i hadent offered to help now. Oh well.

Think qer would be best. Emw told me they only do no heat faults on most dw modules. Worth a try though

Fitted new pcb and the machines working perfectly again! yey. So for about £45 ive got this working again with new pump and 2nd user pcb panel. Not bad going considering these machines are half decent. End of the post 🙂 thanks for your input guys.
