We had a problem about 10 days ago with the dishwasher, it showed an E fault on the display (can’t remember the number but it pointed to water in the base of the machine). Following information on here I checked the float switch was working, put it back in and the machine ran normally.

Fast forward to this morning, switched the machine on to its normal cycle and it tripped the RCD. I had a look as best as I could ( these things aren’t exactly designed for easy access are they?). Couldn’t find any evidence of a leak in the machine so I put it back together and tried again.

This time it ran for about 30 minutes of a 2Hr 30 minute cycle and then tripped again.

I know that this is vague, but can anyone suggest where to look please? In fairness the machine is a few years old so maybe not worth spending too much on repairs.

    Any advice gratefully received.

Earth leaks cause the RCD to trip and you will need to use an insulation tester in order to pinpoint the cause. Usually it’s the heat pump that fails so check there first. Power disconnected first don’t forget. :zap:
