    Went to do this for letting agent. Tenant saying machine has a burning smell as well as program taking different lengths of time to finish, and sometimes taking hours.
    After some checking I found that the dryer element was coming on during the spin cycle. If you select spin the dryer heater comes on but also when I tried it on a quick wash the dryer heater came on during the spin cycle. On the quick wash it filled and heated the water as normal then drained and when it did the first spin the dryer heater came on but no fan. This is not right is it? I meggered everything and all was ok. Is this a board problem?

    Probably the drier heater relay sticking or a faulty triac on the module. Either way, the board is not too expensive so should be a viable repair.
