Not familiar with Hoover dishwasher, took me ages to find the heater on the dishwasher. Right on the back behind a plastic cap. Thank goodness for pictures on Connext website to enable me to find it.

I can’t decide if the heater compartment is a good location. The dishwasher in question is only 3 years old. Is it a design fault?

Is the heaters location a design fault? Is that what you’re asking? It’s all part of the earlier versions of the machine and not a design fault as such. Lately they appear to have adopted the usual cheapie crap device of an in-line heater…..all typical Hoover tosh!

Is this a general trade forum question or a tech question I wonder?

I don’t know what I’m asking, just that it stupid place to put it and it’s prone to leaks.

    How common is this?

It’s all very well showing the photo but the heater is behind it and underneath that you have to tip the machine over.

OK then here it is from the other side if you prefer. Leaks from it aren’t that common, but it is a Hoover…….
