    Hi

My Whirlpool ADG 7550 dishwasher blew it’s 13a fuse, and tripped out the electrics a couple of weeks ago

I replaced the fuse, and all seemed well for a while (albeit with a little bit of thudding noise partway through the programme), but it’s now blown a second fuse and third fuse tonight, and I can smell an overheated component type smell.

I’m thinking it’s got to be a pump or pump motor overheating. If it was the element, it wouldn’t have heated the water up at all.

Any tips on diagnosing the faulty component, and if you are aware of any common issues with this make and/or model?

Thanks in advance for your help

    Tim

There are several “common” components in that range that can pop. But, no stand out from what you describe.

Don’t rule in or out anything though as, if the insulation breaks down then the heating element can still be an issue.

The only way to know is to test it and investigate a bit more.

    K.
