ParticipantI have got a curious problem where both ovens and the grill on my Creda Europa Solarplus E420EW randomly fail to heat up. When this occurs (about a couple of times a month), everything else still works – ie the fan, clock/timers.
After switching the ovens and grill off for a while (usually overnight, but one time for as little as 30 minutes) everything returns to normal, and both ovens and the grill heat up as expected.
The main oven is typically used twice daily and the grill once. I replaced the main oven element recently.
I have no idea where to start looking with this problem, and haven’t found anything useful on the interweb. Any advice or suggestions would be very gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

Andy, as a result of your question, I have now noticed that there is no longer any noise from the oven after turning it off.
It used to continue to make a noise for 5-10 minutes, which I imagine must have been the cooling fan. So, in answer to your question, no – the cooling fan appears to not be working.

There’s you’re problem. Could be the stat or the fan itself

Thanks very much for your speedy responses, Andy.
Having checked out a couple of videos online, it looks like the oven needs to be completely removed to replace the fan motor. I’m inclined to call in a professional for this, since changing the element is at the limit of my comfort zone 😉

I’d agree if you don’t feel confident taking that on. Shouldn’t be too bad a job
