    Guys,

Been to see a 9yo Hotpoint BFI62 dishwasher with a bit of a strange fault. The LEDs lit (l-r) are 1 & 3, this signifies a filter issue, however the machine isn’t heating the water, during the cycle. I’m thinking I’ve hit a board error but wouldn’t mind some of your opinions on it. From what I sure during a test on the ECO cycle the machine filled, washed but didn’t heat. After draining at about the 15 minute stage the machine faults with LEDs 1&3 highlighted.

Sorry if it’s a garbled post, I’ve just dashed it off. If you need any further information please let me know.

I would check the high pressure sensor as I have had a couple of them gunged up internally otherwise this may cure it.

Thanks Jem, as it happened I suspected the high pressure sensor, this was removed, cleaned along with the attached hoses and replaced. What I couldn’t understand was the lack of heat, would this be common with a high pressure sensor fault?

Thanks for the details regarding the board, that looks of interest.

Getting a few now with the sump getting choked with gunge at the spigot for the pressure pipe causing this, a blast down it with a steam cleaner clears it, the newer style dishwashers are also showing this now not heating and a possible cause is the sump getting gunged up.
