    The door will close, the dryer will function, but the error is constant, as is the annoying bleep and the end light is permanently on. Also, the drying stops well before completion. Any ideas of what is going on? I only want to dry my washing. Is that too much to ask?

    E40 is door related fault, door switch is faulty or the wiring to it or connections to P.C.B
