My machine stopped spinning and would hang on the wash cycle. When trying to cleaning the filter in the front it broke As there was a sock in there blocking it. So replaced filter. Machine now works but stays on wash cycle. Manually changed cycle to rinse followed by spin. Each setting seems to work. So Switched off and unplugged machine for a few hours. Turned machine back on and begun programme. Not sure when at which stage it stoppedand 3 lights (lights 2 to 4) were flashing every second checked filter again. Its empty. Turned off over again and left off. Now machine is back to not progressing through the cycles. Each cycle still works if manually changed.

    Any advice would be appreciated

A fault with the heater will cause it to stick on the wash cycle.

Thanks for the quick answer. Could you also tell me what the flashing lights mean. We have been using it and just manually changing cycles but not It doesn’t even turn and the 3 bottom lights just flash.

Are faults with the heater and whatever the flashing lights indicates worth fixing?

    Thanks

2,3,4 flashing means the heater relay on the main pcb has failed.

It depends on your ability TBH. You may be able to get the pcb repaired by the likes of EMW or QER if you are up to removing and then refitting it.

Otherwise it’s new pcb £100, smart card to program the pcb £20, card reader to use the card to program the pcb £100.
Don’t you just love Indesit appliances. :rolls:
