Hi, is there a way to either reset the machine or cancel a program after pressing the start button please? Also the machine starts immediately even if a delay time is selected, is that correct or is there something else I need to press other than selecting the program, the delay and pressing start?
    Any help appreciated, thank you.

The only way is to switch off to On/Off button and turn the selector dial to the programme you really wanted. The programme dial on these are prone to breakage so perhaps that may be the fault in this case?

Thanks for the reply. Other than the fact that it’s starting immediately even if a delay is selected, there isn’t really a fault in the operation of the machine. I was sort of expecting that there was a “secret handshake” to clear the program, like pressing some buttons while switching it on.
I shouldn’t say this as tempting fate, but it’s been pretty reliable other than a leak from the filter (cured by cleaning) and a faulty on/off switch which I disassembled and repaired.
I’ll have a look at the selector switch next time I have the top off, but it’s frustrating to have to go through the shortest program once it’s started in error. I even tried disconnecting the mains but sadly it has a better memory than me!
    Thanks

Turns out I’m an idiot, if you select a time on the timer you don’t press the start button- it immediately starts “counting down”. If you press start it starts immediately.
As said (thankyou) The way to cancel is to move the dial to the no prog x and press start
    Obvious really.
